Oilchart International nv is a company whose market share is growing slowly but steadily.
Our main asset is that we are highly flexible in the production of customised fuel oils, e.g. low viscosity, special density, low sulphur oil, and others. For this purpose, we store various types of blend materials in Antwerp-based storage facilities. We have a preference for making smaller deliveries of fuel oil and gasoil/diesel of all viscosity grades in Antwerp and the Scheldt region (Flushing, Terneuzen, Sluiskill, Ghent), as well as the Belgian coast (Ostend - Zeebruges), but we also have facilities to make larger deliveries within these ports.
The fact that we maintain a constant stock, means that we can respond extremely quickly to market demand and supply at very short notice. Over the years, we have also built up vast experience in de-bunkering ships using external pumping equipment.
In order to meet all of our deliveries, we have a fleet of 7 well-maintained and well-equipped barges, two of which hold a coast patent.
Blending
We blend our products in the traditional way, which is still highly efficient. This means that the products are added to the barge, which are then pumped around until they become homogeneous. This method avoids any incorrect input of information into computers, technical faults of blend systems, etc.
Quality
We always endeavour to buy from established and reputable refineries within the ARA area. As a result, we can guarantee the quality of our products.
Quantity
As far as distilled products are concerned, our barges are equipped with calibrated measuring equipment, as well as ticket printers.
As far as heavy fuel oil is concerned, we operate with the following standing instructions:
. Our inspector, together with the ship personnel, measure the entire barge and this is signed off before delivery commences.
. After the delivery, the entire barge is measured again by the inspector and the ship personnel, and another reading is taken and signed off.
This method is intended to avoid any possible dispute.
